THE TRUE NATURE OF LOVE

Valentine is a happy and special day when it comes to love.
This is the time that many people show love to their love ones, some also present gifts to love ones, some go out on a date and a whole lot of stuffs.
The idea behind that is because valentine is a day that needs to be celebrated with Love.
Many people talk about love, meanwhile they don't know what love actually is.

There are some people who love their partners whenever is time to celebrate an occasion like this.... Can you call this LOVE?????
Sometimes, many couple on date have sex to proove that they love each other, yes it happens but is that really true that sex before marriage prooves love? . Is high time we got to know the true nature of love.
In the Bible, 1st Corinthians chapter 13 describes the true nature of love. It shows how love really works. It tells us what  we get ourselves into when we love someone. Now lets disscuss the true nature of love point by point
First of all, the first three versus describes about being in the service of the ministry of God and yet have no love
One may wonder does it really happens, yes it happens in the church, many christians don't show love to some of the members. For instance if a church member comes to church in one tattered clothe every Sunday, we see them, we talk to them, and we know we can help them but yet still we don't want to help them, only few people try to help them.
This is not a real nature of love, we need to help each other in church, school, workplaces and everywhere we find ourselves. This was a little introduction so let us now go to the real nature as the bible described in versus 3- 5

LOVE IS PATIENT
Yes it is and it must be. I wonder why many guys marry ladies in the name of love and when the lady is not bearing children, then they plan to divorce them, only few guys stand in this condition. In this case, where is the love that we are talking about here? The bible says love is patient, so in all manners and conditions, one needs to exercise patience. Perhaps, in all circumstances, one needs to pray and seek for the divine intervention of God and wait patiently upon the Lord for miracles.

LOVE IS KIND
Another nature of love is kindness. When you love someone, you will help the person when in need. Sometimes, you can see that the person is really in want of something but he doesn't want to tell anyone. In this case, you don't have to wait for him to approach you before you show a helping hand. You must always be kind and give generously to those who are really in need. It can be your partner, any family member, poor people on the street, some collegues in your school, any work member, anybody provide he/she needs help.

LOVE DOES NOT ENVY
Whenever we love someone, we don't grow jealous of what he has that we don't have. It normally happens in our workplaces, schools and companies. One may do his or her best just to bring a person down and win his position. But the bible says we shouldn't be jealous and envious of  what other people have. We always need to pray that God will give us what we deserve. THE NATURE OF LOVE

LOVE DOES NOT BOAST
Boasting is another character that makes love impossible. Let me use this scenario. There are a lot of people who boast about their generousity to others.You have remembered someone in your locality with such behaviour. Though kindness is part of the characteristics of love but when you boast about it, you sound your own glory. And as bible said in Matthew 6:2, there is no blessing attach to this, but rather let us not boast of our kindness.

LOVE IS NOT PROUD
Many people are so proud to the extend of seeing his fellow being as an animal, yet they call themselves LOVE. Love is not proud, it doesn't look down upon other people. But it always encourage others to become who they really want to become. 

LOVE IS NOT RUDE
Love never do things to hurt others. It never treat people so badly. It never abuse anyone verbally or physically. I still wonder why many husbands beat their wife mercilessly and still tell them, they love them. So what kind of love is this. Husbands, it high time we unmask the true nature of love and made known to our love ones. Love is never RUDE

LOVE IS NOT SELF- SEEKING
It is also not self- seeking, it does seek for his own good, his own prosperity, his own welfare, his own anointing, his own family, his own betterment, his own improvement but it also seeks for the improvement of others too. Lets  not be selfish, but we should pray and seek better things for others too.

LOVE IS NOT EASILY ANGERED
Love is not quick- tempered. Whenever a partners goes wrong, it exercises patience and correct all mistakes. Sometimes,  when one becomes angry, the person submit himself  under the influence of his anger which may lead him to do things that he  might not wish to do and at the end will regret. Let us always be temperate, exercise patience and our love will always be memorable

LOVE KEEPS NO RECORDS OF WRONG
Love keeps no records of wrong. It easily forgives and it easily forgets. No matter the pain, no matter the hurt, it always forgives and forgets.

LOVE DOES NOT DELIGHT IN EVIL
When ever you indulge in any activty that even you yourself know that is bad, yet gets support from other people, then you must know that they don't really love you. There is not even a single moment that love delights in any evil doing. It rather reprove and suggest the best thing that will help. That is love for you.

LOVE REJOICES WITH THE TRUTH
Love is always happy with the truth. Sometimes, the truth may be painful, sorrowful, and dangerous, but irrespective of how the truth may be, love is always content with it.

LOVE ALWAYS PROTECTS
Love keeps us from harm and damages. It always protect. So if you are a husband or a wife, and in case of any emergency, you try to save your own life and leave the other members of your family behind, then know that you didn't show love. Love always keeps us safe.

LOVE ALWAYS TRUST
In a relationship where love abounds, then trust must also reign in that relationship. Not only trust but couples need to be faithful to each other.

LOVE ALWAYS HOPES
It always hope for the best in difficult and hard times. In all situations, love has hope and its hope always leads to a perfect glory.

LOVE ALWAYS PERSEVERES
Love perseveres to get the right solution to all problems. In marriage, whenever there is any problem, love struggle to get the possible remedy

LOVE NEVER FAILS
It never disappoint.......
I hope we have learnt a lot about love, we now know how easier love is said than done
To become a great lover, you must take all these steps into consideration and mind you, not only your partner that you must love but every individual as a whole. The bible says, we should love our neighbours as ourselves.
